History
Founded by a group of friends with a passion for esports and gaming in 2019, Wave Esports began with a mission to provide a launchpad for talented young gamers and creators. Our dedication quickly paid off, achieving early success in popular titles such as Brawl Stars and Fortnite.
Our first major public breakthrough came with one of our initial talents, JannisZ. Since then, our Academy program has introduced many well known names to the scene, such as Vadeal, Vico, Gripey, and more.
Wave Esports has also proudly been home to numerous successful gamers and streamers across other titles, including Valorant, League of Legends, Counter-Strike, and Brawl Stars.
In recent years, we have also expanded our presence in the creator sphere, building a significant following on platforms like Twitch, YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok.
Our commitment to nurturing talent and fostering a vibrant community remains at the core of everything we do.
Lukas "Wave Luke" Minkov has been a part of Wave since its founding days. Early on, he helped with marketing & brand development. Finally, in 2023, he joined the executive Team as the CEO and is currently leading the business development of Wave.
"At Wave Esports, we're more than just a team—we’re a community dedicated to nurturing the next generation of champions. Every time I see an aspiring player or content creator step into the spotlight, it reaffirms our mission: to empower talent through support, collaboration, and a shared passion for the game. Whether they grow with us or find their own path, each success story pushes the entire industry forward. We're only at the beginning of an incredible journey, and I truly believe that together, we’re setting the stage for esports to shine alongside traditional sports on the global arena."
